Elephant Stew

1 Elephant
salt and pepper
2 rabbits (optional)

Cut elephant into small, bite-size pieces. This should take about two months. Add enough brown gravy to cover. Cook over kerosene fire for about four weeks at 465 degrees. This will serve 3,500 people.

If more are expected, two rabbits may be added, but do this only if necessary as most people do not like to find hare in their stew.

More Bread :)

Busy Bee!

Recipe #1: Chelsea (aka sticky) Buns....
{recipe from my Cook's Companion book}

Final Product: These may not look amazing, but they taste sooooooo good, even after they've cooled. They're flakey, soft, sweet, and delish.

Recipe #2: Buttermilk Pound Cake
{recipe from 17 and baking here}

We haven't tried this cake yet (though the batter was AH-MAZING). The key to the recipe is letting it sit for a couple days, so I made it in advance for a trip this weekend. We'll try it there!

Recipe #3: Macaroni and Cheese Cauliflower Bake
{Recipe from Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution Cookbook}
The directions on this recipe were hard to figure out, but we managed, and after spending a good 10-15 dollars on cheese, this actually turned out!

No Need to Knead

Tonight's dinner was a basic tomato spaghetti from Jamie Oliver's latest cookbook, a salad kit, and HOMEMADE BREAD!!

Here's the recipe for the bread that I found another blog. I followed all the steps, and it turned out well! At first it wasn't rising once I set it on the cutting board to rise more, but it ended up being delicious.

First, the final product.

My plate:

The dough.. {which tasted great btw}

The final product!!!

Chicken Pot Pie

This is from Country Living's design book I just bought, and used to be on their website, but I can't find it anymore.

The only change I made to the recipe was using chicken legs and cutting the meat off, instead of boneless skinless chicken thighs. I wanted to use all organic!

And I went with the simple crust recipe instead of buying it at the store- it's not hard at all! I did grate the butter before mixing it, which helped a lot. I did have to add a little bit of extra water to get all of the flour to stick to the dough ball.

Fresh out of the oven!! Yum.

Yum.

YUM!!!!!!

THE END.

Bears. Beets. Buying a Bed.

Here is the bed frame I think I am going to buy :)

These are the photos posted on craigslist:

And this is what I want to it to look like after I paint it:

And, finally, this is sort of how I want it to look in my future room!
