Back to the grind tomorrow..

Today has been so productive! Wow. After lunch I poked around and finished up a few more loose ends for the different applications, then headed off to spa day!


I painted my toes :)




After that I made a "snack" from a bunch of fruit I had lying around that I didn't want to spoil. Because I was going to gravity after this, I had an ounce of cheese for a little more substance..


This was really tasty- but all the citrus from the blood orange and kiwis hurt my tongue- isn't that weird?



I wanted to eat at the dining center tonight, but that meant eating a little earlier than usual which was annoying. I was going to get chicken (slightly lower calorie) but the beef peppers looked good, and I haven't had beef in a few weeks now. The veggies were yummy as was the rice, and I ate everything except a little of the rice. 



Now it's off to organizing for the week, homework, and SLEEP! Yay- chem lab in the morning! ehh.

Fruity Friday

I have definitely been enjoying the yummy fruits from Hillside, and today has been no exception.

Breakfast: overnight oats with blue berries soaked overnight, with a banana added this morning. I like this breakfast a lot- it seems to hold me over the longest, and I don't finish craving anything. Sometimes my pb+choc oats make me want sugar! Not a good thing for me.


I had lunch at southside today, codfish with carrots, zucchini, and a risotto. The fish was COVERED in spicy but surprisingly tasty onions! Usually I don't like fish or onions, but they tasted great to me today. The risotto was lame, but I was hungry.


When I got back from classes, I had two kiwi fruits and a pear (I forgot to photograph that- whoops!)



Here are some other ways I have been eating my fruit. These are from the past few days, not today.

I had a blood orange with my egg casserole the other night. These just might be my new favorite fruit- they're so pretty and taste amazing!

energy bars

Yesterday I had biology lab, and I usually get so hungry during them because I have lunch at noon, and then goes from three until after five. Too long for my tummy! I packed one of the "energy bar" things from my care package to give it a try.

I was thinking chocolate sounded yummy.




Prognosis: the idea of this bar is a good one (organic, chocolate covered, texture) but the raspberry flavor was very fake-y and made it taste weird. I definitely prefer my cool mint chocolate Cliff bars, but this was worth a try!

After lab, it was onto Zumba! I figured I should probably eat a little more so I would have oodles of energy for class, so I decided to try another energy bar. I know that two in a day is BAD but I usually only have these once or twice a week, so I figure doubling up one time really won't kill me.

This one was very yummy! And at 170 kcal, it has fewer calories than the normal bar which was nice. It tasted slightly like coconut, and I would definitely have it again. Yum.

Onto today! I rocked the chocolate/pb/oatmeal/banana combo that I love so much this morning. Then for lunch I had some fish with veggies and some sort of whole grain rice thing, it was very good too!

After all classes were finished, I went to Hillside to check out their fruit. They have the best selection on campus I have found, and boy was I happy when I saw what they had! Pears! Kiwis! Oranges!! Oh wow I bought them all. Take a look:


Yeah, I was pretty excited. The only fruit I didn't buy today is the banana.
